Description
The Mika coat is a perfect coat for cooler days, a classic shape, sitting just above the knee, long sleeves, which can be adjusted and a classic collar.
The kit includes everything needed to sew the second version of the coat, without the hood. The coat won’t be lined, instead we will be providing instructions how to sew the Coat using open seams, also know as flat seams. It’s a technique used to create durable tidy seams.
The coat is not lined but instead has open seams, this adds a stylish twist to a classic coat shape.
Boiled wool is known for its excellent insulating properties, its thick and dense and keeps your warm. It has natural water-repellent properties thus making it resistant to light rain, its hard wearing, windproof and has a gorgeous stylish texture.
The finished coat is an excellent light weight coat that can be worn with jeans a chunky jumper or over a light winter dress.
We recommend using ballpoint pins, this fabric can snag easily due to its felted effect, a ball point needle helps glide between the fibres.
